Hi all,

just thought I'd put in an appearance. Been a while hasn't it. Well, a quick precis goes like so. In late March my Mum went into hospital, and apart from a couple of days back home in April, she never left, and sadly we lost her on 15th of July, 10 days after her 68th birthday. As you can probably imagine, with her being in Wallsgrave Hospital in Coventry, and me being some 90 miles south, I spent a fair bit of my weekends on the M40 back and forth.

Apart from that, I didn't really feel in the mood to take the camera out. I did take a load of photos in the Lake District, where we spent a week, between her birthday, and when she passed away.. about a month sooner than the estimated time.. and I've sort of had a quick glance at the first 100 or so, but that's it. We're still very much in the process of dealing with the estate, but I should eventually get back to posting at my usual rate in the near future. This Sunday for instance will be the first Sunday in around 4 1/2 months, that I'll not be at least 75 miles north of here.. my family's base of operations being about 15 miles south of the hospital.

Just thought I'd keep you all up to date..

Cheers, and speak to you soon

Liam

Sorry to hear that, my condolences too. I went through the same almost exactly a year ago.

My condolences too Liam. Although it is 20 years ago now I still remember what it is like - I spent the time from January to May travelling between Holland and the UK, so I completely understand.
Take your time.
I hope you will feel up to picking up your camera again sometime soon, and look forward to seeing the results when you do..

My condolences too Liam. It's a testing time but the usual walk of life to loose your parents sooner or later.
I wish you and your family lots of strength.
