Technically, wide angle means wider than the normal angle of view of the human eye, which is commonly believed to be around 46mm in 35mm film terms. That's the reason that the 50mm lenses are termed 'normal'.

Other sources determine that the object focal length of the eye = 16.7 mm and the image focal length of the eye = 22.3 mm.

Shorter than 50mm is considered wide angle, longer, and it's telephoto.

Is the second shot a bit overexposed?

If it can't be done in camera, it can definitely be done in post processing (PP), with much more certainty of the outcome. PP would be my preferred preference anyway.

SD readers can't read SDHC cards. I think that's probably why Sandisk include the Micromate.
Some do, like this particular one that I bought, thats why I bought it and shall take in case.
Thanks Lilly. I guess the ones I have are a bit long in the tooth now.

Beautiful animals. Where did you take these? I don't remember any forests around Alicante. I live in Murcia, close to the Sierra Espuna.

Your £15 is wasted Lilly, you don't need it. See my earlier post. The Micromate is good for SD and SDHC cards.

If you buy an expensive one, you'll get good results. If you buy a cheap one, you'll get good results. Breaking/scratching a cheap one is a lot less painful financially, and it does happen.
