I have the Ducati version with built in USB! Works a treat on my computer and K10D, Class 6 to boot too!

The MicroMate is a USB SD/SDHC card reader. I bought two of these cards which I use in my K20D with no problem except that they are not backwards compatible with SD card readers. This includes my Jobo GigaOne storage device which can't use them.
I think I may well stick to SD cards in the future. The 2Gb max size for the Sandisk version, which I use exclusively, is not a problem for me. I'll just have to buy more of them, then at least I can still use my GigaOne.

To add to the others, YES, I use one with my K20D. And the Micromate will work with SDHC and SD cards.

The Micromate should work at up to 480Mbps (60MBps)which is twice the speed that an Extreme III SDHC is rated at (30MBps).
Also, the Extreme III comes with the RescuePro recovery software - just in case

My SANDISK SDHC cards have arrived with inc MICROMATE gadget., sorry for appearing dim - but what is it for and what do I do with it, any help gratefully recieved as I canot see any directions on the box

Do you have to use it, if like me your PC has card reader slots built in but only states SD not SDHC?
Is it specific to SDHC cards?
Second question then:
If so, does this mean then I have I just wasted 15 quid on buying a Sandisk ImageMate USB 2.0 Reader/Writer, which I thought was necessary for downloading from these SDHC cards for when I am away?
