1: The locking lever doesn't click.
2: The action of moving the locking lever from unlocked to locked, should push the locking pin out through the base of the hotshoe. It is that pin that provides mechanical security between flash and body.

I'd say it was a faulty flash but that the pin may just come lose the more you use it.

If it's brand new, take/send it back for a replacement.

Yes, the Bryan Peterson books are excellent too! I have the one about portraiture which is also good (but difficult to get)!
Matt
Which book is that Matt, "People in Focus: How to Photograph Anyone, Anywhere" or "Beyond Portraiture" ?

If the camera is brand new, take/send it back to the supplier for an exchange or your money back.

It looks like a 'hot' pixel to me.

Hi all.

I have my K10d, but keep woundering if the change to a K20d should be made.
I have had some great pics with the K10d, and still do so to great effect, but woundering of your thoughts if a K20d would be a worthy upgrade.

What do you think of your moves from K10-K20

Kind regards

Graham
If you do upgrade to the K20D, your user name here will be obsolete.
Maybe that's a good reason to keep it.

My recommendation is . . . upgrade.

There is no option to vote for either day, neither is there an option to vote for both days.

Do you want people to just choose one of the two available options, even if they fit one of the two non-available options?

Without the two options I mention, you are never going to get a true representation of attendees if voters are abstaining because the option that fits them, isn't available.

Question for admin: Why can't I see the poll results without voting first?

Well done, you did exceptionally well. What was the website?

My 31mm Ltd is close enough to the focal length of the 35mm Macro for my needs, but the macro capability of the 35 is, IMHO, lacking. I prefer something with a bit more reach and opted for the FA 100 Macro and Sigma 180mm EX DG Macro instead.

My favourites to date are Bryan Peterson's "Learning to see creatively" & Understanding Exposure".

Lot's of useful info, tips 'n tricks in both.
