Going to reflect on this , the Pentax big down side seems its weak AF but otherwise has merits as highlighted.

Looking to buy a new lens, now I am getting hang of using the Pentax 18-135, but wish to go beyond it. The `Tammy` seems most highly respected for top overall performance, IQ, macro feature too but the Pentax 55-300 would add that extra 100mm option and is £ 200 or so cheaper. Any advice from those who know these two please , or any other that might fit better ?

Hi Algernon , yes thanks for that link , checked that model out on internet. I think my camera does not need the add on transmitter version being K5ii . So probably contact Wex , who sell this the IR remote at £ 10 assuming its what I need. It may be the ` cable option` is excluded but cant not see my need for both unless i am missing a trick.

Been looking at buying a IR wireless remote but not sure which is the one to get after researching. Any ` best` options recommendation welcome ; either Pentax or a third party models which includes a bulb function. Some on Amazon seem pretty vague to me ?
