Been looking at buying a IR wireless remote but not sure which is the one to get after researching. Any ` best` options recommendation welcome ; either Pentax or a third party models which includes a bulb function. Some on Amazon seem pretty vague to me ?
Pentax : KP + K 5 iis : M 28 mm , M 50 mm , K 135 mm , DA F 100 mm , DA 12 - 24 mm DA 16 - 85 mm & DA 55- 300 mm .
Lumix : LX100

The Pentax one is by far the best it's the O-RC1, I wouldn't look at anything else if I were you. I have two of them, they work superbly well and they are waterproof too.

I've tried the cheapo ones and they are not worth the money. Get the proper gear and you won't go wrong.

The Pentax and similar have hardly any power.
The Seculine Twin 1 R3 Universal Remote for about £10 is much
more powerful and also transmits wireless up to 100m... for
that you need a receiver as well.... full kit about £24.50

The Seculine Twin 1 R3 Universal Remote is that powerful it will
trip other cameras and studio flash with IR. I use mine to
trigger the flash so that I can get a remote reading.

Hi Algernon , yes thanks for that link , checked that model out on internet. I think my camera does not need the add on transmitter version being K5ii . So probably contact Wex , who sell this the IR remote at £ 10 assuming its what I need. It may be the ` cable option` is excluded but cant not see my need for both unless i am missing a trick.

£10 is a very good price. Usually £14-£15 on ebay.
It doesn't matter what it says on the package Nikon/Pentax/Canon
There's only one model of the Twin1 R3-UT. The UT
stands for Universal Transmitter.

SRS sometimes have them.

The Seculine Spirit Level is also very good and
unlike the Pentax one it can be adjusted for level
as well as sensitivity. There's also a Remote for
the level.
