You're probably right, it is heavily cropped as I couldn't get as close as the others. It's also difficult to get an idea of the real size of this one, but it's littler than it's name suggests, it was only about 5 inches tall and wieghed 5 and a half ounces.

Turning CAPS LOCK on will go to "precision" mode where there's a cross hair so you can get exact placement. Caps Lock off will go back to showing the brush outline.

Thank you Oh Great mine of information Quote:
If say when you use the burn or dodge or any brush type tool, you set the pixel size of area you want to cover with the tool, sometimes when I place the tool over image no matter how small or large tool is set, instead of say a circle I get just cross hairs, it is very annoying, then for seemingly no reason it fixes itself!
It's not random - you have the CAPS LOCK on If say when you use the burn or dodge or any brush type tool, you set the pixel size of area you want to cover with the tool, sometimes when I place the tool over image no matter how small or large tool is set, instead of say a circle I get just cross hairs, it is very annoying, then for seemingly no reason it fixes itself!

this is a problem I have from time to time and I don't know why it happens or how to fix it, sometimes it just fixes itself.

Beautiful shots Tim, the last is my favorite too - I love that angle, draws you in and up, if that is the effect of a circular ploariser on a DSLR I must get one, I don't think you can re-create that effect in PP, the price has been putting me off, I used one all the time with my SLR, I suppose that is now redundant with digital?

Coming to grips with the Organiser too Gwynn!
I have just purchased an amazing book "The Photoshop Elements 5 Book for Digital Photographers (Paperback) by Scott Kelby" and have learnt so much this pm, I recommend it, 14 quid from Amazon.
I took this on Sunday and just done levels, shadow control & a bit of dodge and burn, comments welcome as I have quite a few more to do:
