Well just as I was scraping around the barrel for Docs night pic, I was out last week and got this, quite happy with it, what do you think?

Paul, its a great image, very powerful eye contact, but IMHO cd be even stronger by a crop, as it is my eye wanders north and out, but perhaps you dont like to crop, anyway, here is how I cd see it :

Yes, classy shot Prieni, congratulations! I must get out and try some long exposure work.
Doc, my earthy look was the application of a couple of texture layers which lent the vignetting, but the lighting was for night time!

Good to see Lilly back entering too.

Robert.
Thanks Rob, it is nice to be relaxed for a while and have time to have some fun, these comps do spur me to try new and different angles, I think Doc didnt get too many at first because its not warm enough yet to pooch around after dark, that's my excuse anyway!

I'm confused - which Sigma competes with the 21 ltd?

I have the 21 ltd and agree it's a very good lens and renders colour very well and is sharp etc.

I have been promising myself a fast wide for ages now and did think about the Sigma, but quality is what counts!
Considering this one now, it is not as fast as I would like but quite a few stops faster that the Sigma 10-20 that I have at the mo and it is so much smaller and lighter.

Has anyone one got one out there that they could share their thoughts on it for me please before I take the plunge!

Lilly,

that's a great site. There is one thing that I find a bit awkward, though. When I'm on the home page I don't see all that is on offer.

In the slideshow I don't get the 'whole picture', i.e. the lower eighth or so I cannot see. I have to scroll down slightly.
And only then do I see what else is there to discover.
If you would have the slideshow in landscape format it would be clear at first sight. (Downside is, of course, that you would have to use different photos. And I do love the ones I see there now. But I'm sure that you would find equally good ones in landscape format.)

Prieni
Thanks for your input, I think you will find it now works better, no scrolling required on front page, yes good point!
Was my mistake sizing them too large, dims were for landscape not portrait I am learning all the time with this
