Hi unlocker,

I agree.. definitely have the eye for it. If I were to critique anything about the two landscapes, it would be that the sky has blown out. ie. it's plain white where it's over-exposed. Have a read of this article, it may help for next time.

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/understanding-series/understanding-h...

I generally use multi metering rather than spot for landscapes, and -0.5 underexpose just for safety, if that helps.

Oops.. got to go to work now.

Yep, nice shot Raider..

When the page loaded, I had a panoramic effect, with the horizon at half way, so the picture was about 2" deep, and it seemed to work well then as well. A bit like those long thin post cards you get these days.

Just a thought for the techies..

Does the sensor shake do it's stuff before a charge is put through the sensor. ie. switching it on. Being a CCD, the biggest problem with dust is that it sticks to the sensor because of the static induced by it when there's power going to it.

Idle thoughts only..

Hi itsme,

according to the usual source..

http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html

234V, so I'd be wary of putting it straight onto the the DL's hotshoe.

as mentioned, you can get a wireless remote that'll do the job, as long as the flash unit has a socket output..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Radio-Slave-Wireless-Remote-Flash-Trigger-Studio-T1A_W0QQi...

or similar. I have one of these and it works well. You just need to get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter for the end, so that it fits into the flash socket.

Hi Hyram,
