I've had the K7 for a few weeks and the other day I got round to editing the RAW (PEF) photos I had taken. BUT Camera Raw would not recognise PEF whereas my K10D had no problem with PEF. But DNG worked fine with the K7 and Camera RAW.
I was stumped for a while as it did not seem logical that PEF could be recognised for the K10D and not the K7. I did think of trying this forum but I don't like to be beaten and after some hard/lateral(!!) thinking I hit on the fact that my version of Camera RAW was 5.3 - was there a newer version for the K7? Sure enough after some ferreting around the Adobe website I found Version 5.4, downloaded it and lo and behold it worked with my K7...phew. What a relief.
Cheers...John

I've just spent a wee while trying to get that ant from my screen Mike-P!!!

Really fooled me for a few seconds - real neat.

Hi Peter. I've only had it a couple of days and I'm only on page 42 of 328 pages in the manual!!

Seriously I've played with it a bit and got used to handling it and it feels great - like part of me if that makes sense. Tomorrow I'm going to an RSPB site near me and will use it to take photos of birds, landscapes, insects and flowers. If I manage any 'good' photos I'll put a few in the gallery. What I really need is your Bigma for the birds...Mmmmm...that sounds a bit rude!!!

That's the trouble when we have the camera - no or few shots of ourselves - I sometimes take a beanbag if I'm on a walk so if there's some suitable scenery I sometimes use the 10 sec delay to get a picture of me and the scenery - my kids often want me to send them a photo of me!!

That's how I got the one for my avatar!

Hmmm - it's 17c here in Birmingham - but at least there is a mainly blue sky.

I'm stumped too - probably obvious when you know.

Nevertheless - welcome.

Just changed my avatar from a spider to a recent one of me - not sure if it's an improvement!

Yes it does Jack - It's interesting to see that some of your shots I could have taken with my Pentax 18-250.
I haven't 'done' a zoo before - may have a go with my 'little' 18-250!
It will be a while before I can afford the 150-500 - I've just splashed out on the K7 - the manual has 328 pages - help!
Cheers
John
