A recent post by Mike Edwards showed the weather deteriorating quickly, so I thought the following were worth a look on a similar theme. They are the first I've posted from our recent trip to France, taken in the area called Les Baronnies, in the central Pyrenees. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them! All K-3 and Pentax 16-85mm.
The day started looking a bit grim, like this

May/June time is always lovely, I think. New growth coming into leaf, flower etc. Here are a few recent ones I hope reflect the time of year, all taken on fairly local walks. K-3 with Sigma 18-250. All thoughts appreciated.

I really enjoyed these! The backgrounds/settings and people seem to complement each other to create images that would be much less interesting if one of the elements were missing. To my eye, a real example of the total being much greater than the sum of its parts.
Thanks for sharing them!

All lovely, David - the opportunity (and photographic technique, of course!) to convey the quality of the light in the Lake District is a dream situation and you never disappoint when you post photos like these. Much more to my taste, I must admit, than the more "abstract" approach, interesting though it is.

Totally inspirational, Alan, and not all with super-expensive kit, either, so showing what we can all hope to achieve with "standard" Pentax equipment - K-5ii, K-3, 18-135mm lens etc. All we need now is to be in the right spot, at the right time, with the technical knowhow to take advantage!

So much to be learned from other Pentax users' posts.

Keep 'em coming in 2017!

Thank you all for commenting. I think the character of the waterfall (Low Force) would be lost with a long exposure. It was a lucky break to be there in such weather, with long shadows all day long making for very attractive views.

Had a couple of lovely days last week to visit new places. First was an afternoon in Upper Teesdale. K-5ii plus 18-135mm WR. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

A favourite local spot which rarely disappoints, whatever the weather. Just got there this time in the late afternoon. Not much colour in the sky, but the light was lovely. K-3 and Pentax 16-85mm. All comments appreciated.
