i adore the processing on these - i cant seem to capture the same look no matter how hard I try!

2 and 7 strangely stand out; despite being quite similar to most others. Love 'em all

very nice set - Lovely muted colours. Nos. 3 & 4 are my favourites.

Such a beautiful set. 4, 5 and 10 are simply enchanting, but all are gorgeous.

Almost exactly my thoughts too

I can often see the wood for the trees, but never seem to capture the trees for the wood

Thanks all for thoughts and comments... it really was pretty thick fog in there, certainly to begin with although it had pretty much cleared by about 9am... my first proper go at this type of genre, as it happens, so have taken a while to process them as have been trying various things out...

No smoke and mirrors, Lightroom 5.7 only... but having spent a fair amount of time looking and admiring others who have done a fair amount of shooting trees in the mist (Mark LJ, Tim Parkin, Dr Orloff of this parish etc.), I settled on a mixture of a few things.... the most important bit probably being a bit of split toning, which was another proper first time outing for me (although I tried it out a tiny bit on my last set of tree pics)... all in all a bit of a voyage of discovery, which is always a good thing...

A very atmospheric set of images Bill. I must have a look at split toning - I've always steered away from it for some unknown reason.

Its great when you get mist in a woodland - so atmospheric, and you have done justice to it here Bill - difficult to choose a favourite as they are all good!

How did i miss these? sorry for being late, what a great set, full of misty atmosphere, i could imagine a mysterious lady in a red cloak disappearing into that mist on some of them, stunning images!

Very nice. My preference is for 1 and 3. Showing the bases of the trees gives more of the sense of progression of depth into the mist from foreground to background.

Cheers.
