Thanks, John - I know what you mean about the clarity; not much air pollution around here!

These are good! I'd like to have the courage to take photos like these, but .... Landscapes are so much easier!

Hope I got the title correct! It's a word I learned a while ago from a fellow contributor on the forum. A few more recent photos from a local walk that I hope you will like. K3 + DA 16-85 (IMO still as good a combination as anyone could wish for for everyday photography.) All comments appreciated..

With all the winds recently, lots of trees seem to have lost their leaves early and anticipated autumn colours have been hard to find round our way. Not a complete failure, though and here are a few local colourful spots. K-3 + DA 16-85. Hope you like these!

All very good! Particularly like the backlit colour in the first one, but the 3rd is intriguing to look at. And what about the second? No, I can't choose between them at all - great stuff!

Apologies if this is teaching Grandma etc, but a Col in this context is a mountain pass, this time with easy walking and super views. Some images a bit repetitive, just different angles of view, etc (but good to look at, I hope!)

Thanks for your comments, folks. I've walked in the area a number of times now and never tire of the awesome views. The hikers in no.4 just happened to be in the right place as we approached - an opportunity not to be missed! It was good to see such colour on the ground, too - that was something I hadn't seen before - and more to come in the next group!
