Thank you all for your comments - they are much appreciated. For anyone interested in history, you may like to look up "Beaumont Park", Huddersfield, its name coming from the wealthy benefactor who donated the land to the local council for the purpose of creating a public amenity.

Dusting of snow, bit of frost, then sunlight again. Interesting effects of light and shade in a local park (at least I thought so!) which I've tried to capture here. All K1 + FA 28-105. All thoughts welcome.

A day without snow, rain, ice or high winds and the first decent walk in what seemed like quite a while in the Stainland area of Calderdale. Nothing fantastic, just some lovely light. K70 + Sigma 17-70, a nice light weight combination. All comments welcome.

All good for me! Starts off with fairly "standard" stuff and gets more interesting as you go through. Lovely colours.

A recent walk in the Wessenden Valley - freezing cold even in the sun, which was very strong and made life quite difficult. K70 + DA 18-65. All comments welcome. Happy Christmas to all!

Super images, what sort of settings were you using?

I am booked to go to Kew next Friday, so will take along my K-1 and either the 31/1.8 or FA 50/1.4 and monopod.
Sorry I didn't respond more quickly - hope your trip to Kew went well! My settings were a bit hit and miss, I have to admit - very high ISO with often ridiculously slow shutter speeds, especially with the camera being hand-held, and hoping that Affinity Photo would erase the subsequent noise - which by and large it seemed to do.

Can't see the point of this type of photography! Also known as camera shake?
Each to his own, of course, but Isn't that a bit like saying that impressionism is just an excuse for not being able to paint properly?

I don't like all of this selection, Gareth, but numbers 2, 6, 7, 9 and 11 really appeal to me and I'd be happy to see them on my wall where their soft, evocative content would stimulate the imagination.

Didn't stay long, but provided a useful foreground amongst other aspects. K-1 + FA 28-105. Please feel free to comment, as always.
