Macro Morning

In case it's of interest - these were taken with the HD Pentax‐D FA Macro 100mm f/2.8 ED AW on a K1 MkII, it's noticeable to me that the flare control is excellent and I've had to do no adjustment for CA/purple fringe - I know the lens is still basically the old design but those improvements (and the rounded aperture blades) have really moved it up a notch.

No. 3 for me, too.

I'd like to have seen a bit more space around the flower in No. 1 and more of the bright light on the flower in No. 2. Am I beginning to sound like a competition judge? Aagghhh, no, help!!!!!

No. 2 for me, John. The yellow against that almost black background really works for me. Throws the flower right at you. Lovely work on all of them.

As Peter and Steve, No.3 for me as well.

That lens has character.

Nice variety in the set, No 3 would be my favourite, it‘s an unusual format and the sort of thing you could imagine might be used as a banner on a website for a jeweller or something.

All very good! Particularly like the backlit colour in the first one, but the 3rd is intriguing to look at. And what about the second? No, I can't choose between them at all - great stuff!
