Or how to love your lenses again!
Straightforward and not too long winded, best balance of the two I've yet seen, you need to view in fairly high resolution to be able to appreciate some of the examples...

I get what you mean Steve, for flipping open the screen and agree but what I'm getting at is that raised edge in close proximity to the left hand button on the D-pad. Now this is supposition on my part but going back to my X-T1 saga it too has recessed buttons (Buttonery, new word for John!) pushed up against the screen and it drove me wild because you just could not guarantee actuation of that button, ok well at least I couldn't. I'd like to have seen a bit of a cut out next to the D-pad or at least some sculpting of that beefy LCD frame to make using the D-pad more intuative but I admit I could just be spit balling here as "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" and all that...

Fabulous imagery, loving the bold sqaure crops, just don't see enough of that nor do I ever remember to try it myself, you have a mastery of B+W which I can only aspire to, crackin work.

(Just one disappointment: The LCD is not a touchscreen. We'll have to wait for the eventual K-S3 to supply that missing piece.)
I for one am happy that Pentax have not succumbed to this trend..
I hate touch screens as I run hot and my fingers seem to confuse them a lot, they are not as reliable as a button for me anyways, I like the beefy design of the K-S2 Screen, it's about the only one I've seen that looks like I wouldn't bust it in the first five minutes of ownership but why oh why did they not just move the cut out for flipping the screen open to the middle of the right side opening up the flash button on the D-pad for easy use, it's badly positioned squashed up against the edge of that screen...

I'm sort of with the reviewer, having owned a Fuji X-T1, the OVF is clearer and shows more detail but the EVF gives you a ton of extra information and features, in short I want both.
Luckily Ricoh are not with the in crowd like M4/3rd and Sony rather in with the Canikons of this world. OVF camera makers would have to buy in EVFs, whereas the likes of Sony don't have to which is part of the reason they are being foisted on us as the future by these firms, because to them they cost peanuts...

Same for me Dave, I can carry the 1.4 convertor/ Da*300 and the Da* 60-250, for pretty much the same weight.
The all up weight of what I regularly carry is paramount, so even if it focuses laser quick it will not make it into my kit but I'm still interested in the lens because it is so important to the Pentax brand.
