Erm I may be in again!
Usual pinch of white powder required...
"You're such a fun Rice. So did you sell your 21MP 5D Mark Something after the A30000 piece of trash was announced? Is 5DMkXX worth a few thouzand $$ on top of K-3's 20MP or A30000's?
What "source" doesn't mention is the class leading AF, radical increaze in performance, next gen image procezzor that will leave any 5D in dust. Plus a senzor glide shift operating mode to capture 40MP files with amazing clarity — stuff that was rezerved for MF so far. All that using your good DA glass. Now Nikon and Canon will roll in pain, becauze they never invested in body senzor stabilization.
I think many have no idea what they're missing now; many will start selling back their Nikon D600 plasticz to get one of theze babiez."

That's just amazing! Not the biggest macro fan, but that's really superb.
It simply pops and the water droplets just make it! I can almost hear the Shield Bug saying "Let us in mate, It's bucketing down out here!"

Hmm, With that new Sony 20Mp chip on board, I may not be in, If pricing stratagy is anywhere near, I may just get another IIs at nearly half the price, all remains to be seen of course!
It needs to have a significant AF/Noise/DR/ and Hassy super resolution/Raw HD? or I just can't see me favouring it over my IIs, from what I've seen so far, I'm not going to get any DR this time around, noise, maybe? As for the rest, they would be headline features and no one is going to let them out of the bag until much nearer release day! It may be a happy Christmas for Pentax fans though, also I heard it will have Pentax on the front and Ricoh (Imagine Change) on the back...
That chip is pretty optomised for video, which is something that Ricoh (Imagine Change) needs to address in Pentax's bodies, so it may be a accurate prediction/rumour, Video is not my tihng but others love it, and it's lagging behind in Pentax's latest offerings.
Who knows though maybe there's still some Pentax digital snake oil left lying around after the Ricoh (Imagine Change) takeover?

Just putting the feelers out to give enough time/notice to anyone who is thinking of selling...
If the one at SRS is still there in a month, I may just get that one...

To be honest the sooner the better for Pentax to bring out a ff camera, as I a poor amateur, will have some fun in the classified section of this forum

Is there a site where I can have a laugh at the moans of
ex Pentax users who jumped ship to the Nikon D600 during it's
short 12 month life only to find that it has problems and has
to be replaced with the D610
20,000,000 Camera's...
http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/237412-20-millionth-pentax...
If it's a FF all the Current Pentax users who don't feel they need it will be sore, if it's a 20Mp APSC, all those who want the former will sell up and go, as one who has owned nearly every FF camera thats been out except a 5DMKIII and a Sony A99, I've come back to pentax, maybe at the best time maybe at the worst time? The D600 was my last straw with FF and Nikon in particular, I still reckon the 5DMKIII to be the mmost complete camera out there but I'd put my K5IIs as second! The D600 has problems that are not all associated with the sensor dust and the oil slick that puts the K5 stain issues into the shade, in fact it rivals the Torrey Canyon there! It feels in the hand lie a cheapo peice of plastic in every way that the Pentax k5 doesn't, The D800 is much closer. The D600 has "amaetuer" metering which is completely tied to the focus point which may be fine in a dark club but is totally useless outside, for doing Landscapes etc, I had to turn off the matrix and go back to centre weighted as I could never second guess it, all the digital snake oil in there is working overtime, focus is no quicer than the K5 that I can see and the low light focus does not work as advertised, whereas my K5 can see things that I can't. It's not all roses on the dark side...

I do think the add ons, whilst not necessarily desired by all are what's going to get Pentax to shape up on the spec comparison sheet. Once you can start doing that, people will look at the IQ and be impressed. Now I know that's back to front for most, but growing the brand means getting more people in...
Pentax is severely behind the 8 ball on video. I'm not sure if it's a lack of processing power, or a lack of focus, but the bit rates etc are nearly half of Canon straight out of the box. The K-30 doesn't have mechanical stabilisation during video. There is no focus peaking during recording. There's no attempt at autofocus during recording etc etc.
Wifi and GPS are where it's headed, so getting some of the cool stuff from Ricoh's lower point and shoot type cameras into it's Pentax DSLR's will really start to draw them in. FF would be a nice to have, but it's not as if they've exhausted what they can do with their current line up.
more dynamic range, better low light performance and a touch screen, better video (including raw video out through hdmi while recording. just gut the existing models and improve everything...
but also accessory grips that add a live second memory card, battery, wi-fi, and better sound including mic and headphone jacks.
take the k5 and k01 and add hdmi, usb3 or thunderbolt connectivity... put ALL the ports on the camera bottom with a removable rubber cover, and then bring out accessory grips... one specifically for video with tablet connectivity, one less expensive model for stills.
put all the add ons in the grips, and keep the bodies affordable...... let people build the system the way they intend to use them.
