The flap over the carbuncle looks vulnerable as does the
dioptre adjustment..... why did they change it?

No shots showing the SD Card door side of the camera?

Most people will only use 1 SD Card so why waste a
button on selection? It looks easily caught/switched
by accident anyway.
Got to agree some of it looks clunky/cluttered Algi but it may work a lot better in practise, I'll wait till you have yours for you to tell me.

I like the idea of two SD cards, whether we like it or not it's one of the de facto's for a serious camera these days, I guess...
A lot of Nikons I've had have got a dioptre wheel like that, in practise it's not a worry, I seem to knock the slider on my K5IIs more and you can't really tell clearly where it's set unless your looking for it.
"Carbuncle Flap" looks like it rotates out of the way?
Who knows what they have in mind with the SD card button, perhaps more than one function, (Super Resolution setting?) if that's all it does I'd have preferred a menu based card priority setting...
I'd have loved them to keep the same grip but from a business perspective it makes no sense, I suppose, that will mean flogging my BG4 for a fraction of what I just payed for it.
I just don't want to carry two gripped bodies...

So much for saying that my K5iis was going to be my last upgrade for many many years.

I wonder if there is a cure for Upgraditis?
Baad news from a Wallet perspective but good from a Photographic/Videography one if it all works out...

BG5 B£gger!

Has there been any mention of Live View focus peaking, I need this desperately.
Greg
From what I hear, it has peaking too...
Dunno if it's in live view as well though...

Bottom right button, is that for choosing which card to write to?

HaI hate viewing pics on a mobile phone.
Well the little green markings are SD card shaped, so it looks like two slots! So twice the fun getting them in and out eh?
Hate to say this to my lovely K5IIs but this beastie looks like everything I ever wanted in a Camera, if the specs are to be believed. Newer sensor form sony apparantly than the A77 one which I owned for two months and the noise was awful so that can only be good too. Indeed it does look like they are dragging video into the serious, great for those who shoot it (Not me) but it also seems to bring other stuff along with it so applause there too...

I'll get one but will have to wait about six months to see if the other half still has a job next year and my own sales pick up, can't see this helping my OCD any...
At least it'll give time for it to get over sensor stains, mirror flop and buttons falling off before I get mine..

I'd love to view pics on my mobile but I lost the damn thing last night!
Must admit I hate em and so feel quite liberated at the moment!

must have.... must have! must have!! WANT WANT! WANT!!!
Me too but I think the buttons on the back of the camera look a little cluttered, however actual handling may be very intuitive, will have to wait till they hit the shops to see.
They don't seem to have mucked about with overall design too much, which I like. Though judging by the plethora of new buttons festooning the thing, they've put a lot of new technology in there and a lot of thought into what is in reality a total re-design...
