Heard that one, too! Wonder if they did a deal with hassy for the pixel shift super resolution?
Or maybe "Same" as 645D means it's crap at high ISO's

For street roaming then the compact DA15 will come into its own. For architecture then I think the Pentax12-24. For landscape then my choice would be the 12-24 too, it is just such a useful range. I wouldn't have just the 15, I would want something around 24 too.

The DA12-28 should be out soon, I would hang back for a while
Good point and well made! It may well be worth waiting, flipside being that the Pentax 12-24 may depreciate too, which could nab you a very good lens at a price probably less than a DA15 MK1. I sold and straight away regretted selling my DA 12-24, it was no less sharp than the 15, only lacking in a small amount of micro contrast in comparison to the prime but a whole lot more versatile...

I digressed, of the three the OP mentioned I'd go for the Pentax every time, it's a fine fine lens...

My current (New finish) Siggy 8-16 wipes it's bottom with the DA 15 I used to have, sharper everywhere, right in the corners too, it's only downsides? It does have more distortion which is easily corrected and it's not tiny and pretty...
With a K5 you don't really need filters, every shot is rich looking like you used a polariser with sufficient dynamics for anyone really...

No doubt some will disagree, well just get over it I know what I see...

Just thought I'd share this one which was taken much earlier the same morning

1/20 sec f/4 ISO 2500 with the DA*300mm. 15 mins before sunrise. Life in the old K5 autofocus yet

What were you hiding in Alan? I just can't believe you got bare DA*300 close to a Kingfisher! What an amazing capture, humbling it is, damn you're good!

???

About +30 in lightroom on the clarity slider, then a Grad to darken the sky then another upside down to lighten the foreground a bit but I could have given it a bit more there, I suppose, That's my trouble with B+W, I'm always a bit too conservative with the sliders...

Quite liked the compositions on most of em for once but I'm not the one to ask I suppose, as I rarely like any pictures I've taken!

Too dark? Not too good at B+W, Trying to learn it at the moment and have a hundred or so B+W on the website for alternative sales opportunities, so any advice processing B+W would be gladly received, I may put a thread out in the correct forum, to start a discussion...

Nice shots, I was walking up that road at Ullswater last week, but it was stotting down when I was there
Situation normal then?

If you can see the lake it's about to rain, if you can't it already is...
