I sort of get the impression at least here in the UK that things are getting better on that front. There are more and more stores (As in Proper Camera Stores) in the high street stocking Pentax, and a nice big poster beside the K3 with DPR Camera of the year won't hurt one little bit, maybe the root on that Tumble Weed is starting to weaken?
Up to Ricoh to start capitalising on these things though I agree, Think the K3 won the Imaging Resource poll too, they could well start by bunging that on the website like Fuji UK do, they are not shy of blowing their trumpet on the awards front, then add to the already good little Pentax Brochures that have been appearing in my Local Camera shop with some decent P.O.S. kit (Point of Sale).
Ricoh Mangagment, take note...
Not sure if going to the expense of TV works, the Christmas Canon advert is weak and the Nikon Coolpix one just does my head in being so far fetched, instead of a Dolphin a Great White should breach out of the water and take him whole, that might just grab my attention!

Glad it's going again,
From your description, it sounds as though your hard drive is okay. I'd suspect that the partition information may have been lost, which would explain why the Windows Recovery Console reported that no hard drive could be detected.
You may be able to get to the bottom of it by using a free recovery tool called TestDisk. It's a Linux tool and you'll have use another computer to download a Live distribution, which includes TestDisk. (Live distributions are Linux OSes that run directly off a CD or USB flash drive.)
One distribution you might like to try is KNOPPIX, which comes with TestDisk. Burn the ISO to a CD, or use a tool such as the Universal USB Installer to boot your PC.
Run TestDisk from a terminal window and follow the instructions provided.
Alternatively, connect your hard disk to a working PC and run the Windows version of TestDisk. It's the same command line tool, there's not much real difference between the Windows and Linux versions.
If you have an available desktop P.C. It'd likely be easier and quicker to just bung it in that to test it, then back those pics up, you just can't have enough backups...

Just for giggles this is the only other shot I've taken in about two weeks!

White Moss woods near the Car Park and this is the Picnic area, benches submerged! Couldn't get the family of swans to stay still long enough for the ten stop ND...

Brilliant Steve, your end of the Lakes is looking better and better, I have competition!
Seriously, lovely light (Our worst kept Cumbrian secret for this time of year eh?)
Beautiful location, which I have never been to by the way!
Perfect composition, really thoughtfully done with lead ins but still giving the eye room to take it all in.

From you David I'll take that as quite a compliment, as I regard yourself as a bit of an expert you know.
I always look out for your photo posts and often wonder, "Just how much better then mine are they going to be this time around?"
