Hi

As the title says.

Does the Pentax FA 50mm f1.4 lens work on the Pentax MX SLR ?

Thanks

Hi

Just got this flashgun and have noticed that it has a 35mm,645,67 and digital format setting unlike the AF360FGZ that doesn't have the digital format setting.

Is the digital format the one to use with the K20D ? as it seems to default to this when mounted on the camera.

If this is the case it means it will only zoom to 58mm even when using my 17-70mm lens at 70mm.

Is this something to do with the 1.5 crop factor ?

Thanks
Jason

Hi

Just thought I'd let you know that mifsuds have the Pentax 540 flash at £239 + P & P.

Same as when someone overtakes you on the road and indicates to come back in. What they think that youthink they are just going to stay out their and drive into oncoming vehicles.

Sorry Off Topic rant over with now.

Thought I was stating the bleeding obvious after posting it. lol

Not sure what else you could get from the EXIF to tell why the flash didn't fire though.

Just had a look and the EXIF data says flash didn't fire on that shot.

Hi

Can't help you with any input on the 16-45mm or 16-50mm but I have just purchased the 17-70mm lens.

I am so far very impressed with this lens having upgraded from the 18-55mm mark 2 kit lens.

I would say at £329 the image quality (it is better especially at wider apertures) alone wouldn't make the price difference justified but the SDM motor, constant f/4.0 aperture, build quality (it does feel so much better) and the increased range make it worth it.

Also the excellent Bokeh is a real bonus.

However you may find as your upgrading from the 16-45mm the differences to not be worth the outlay unless you can get a good price for your 16-45mm to offset some of the cost.

I am quite happy with the sharpness from wide open, although nearer the tele end it does lose a bit of sharpness (no bad thing if your using it for portraits though).

I didn't really consider the 16-50mm as didn't want to take a chance on the quality issues and I already have as fast or faster lenses at 35mm & 50mm focal lengths.

If you already have a good lens (16-45mm) at those focal lengths is there not a lens at other focal lengths that may be more beneficial ? or maybe a prime ?

Having just read the instructions and they have a section about TTL flash control. I think though that the instructions are a generic set for all the Jessops 360AFD fit flashguns and not Pentax specific.

If anyone can suggest a way to check it if is TTL then let me know. Thanks

I've been asked a question about whether the Jessops 360 acts the same as the pentax 360. Does anyone know the answer to this ?
