Hi
I have developed my interest in photography in the digital age but have always wanted a film SLR and as such am going to purchasing a Pentax MX soon.
Can anyone give me any advice as to what to look for and how to check the camera out when I get it to make sure it is a good un'.

Looking at the OP's photo's the Bokeh in the second and third pic look far better than the 1st.
I think it could be just because the background looks to be further away in the first but can you post the setting's for the pic's ?

I have had a look at the flashgels website and think that's the route I will most likely take.
Just measured up the 540 flash and it looks like the 4cm gel strips may just fit but I'm not too sure.
Has anyone used these gels ?
and if so which size would be best the 4cm or 5cm ones ?

Rumours suggesting that it will be a more "pro" camera than the K20D.
I find that hard to believe judging by the size of it.

At the moment just some basic colour correction for when using flash with tungsten and such. I may want to get more creative later but am really after knowing the best ones to get and how to attach them to the flashgun. I would rather steer away from velcro on the flashgun so any advice of other methods would be appreciated.

Hopefully I should be getting my MX in the post tomorrow. I got it on ebay, the description sounds like it shouldn't need too much work doing to it.
Here's the link if anyone want's to have a look and let me know if they think I got a good bargain...........or not !
