It doesn't require full frame but is full frame compatible. No full frame Pentax camera currently exists, though one is due for release at the end of this year, price still unknown.

The lens should work fine with any Pentax DSLR.

I have to say I much prefer the Portra, though changing films for different results is part of the magic of film photography.

The Takumar 105/2.8 is not especially rare. It's quite a nice lens and that's a decent price for one in very good condition.

Using film is without a doubt a great teacher of photography. In addition, it's more fun than digital, you get to use nicer machines and the results can be fantastic.

I'm very happy using both film and digital but for those who really know the art of photography (ie not me) nothing can compare to film.

People sometimes compare the current DA and FA limited lenses to the old "M" series lenses but the old manual lenses are far, far more solid than anything manufactured now.

This is part of the consumer/throw-away culture but then, if all lenses cost as much as Leica ones there would be very few photographers around.

The K3 allows the colours to be flipped but only in jpeg, the RAW remains the same, as RAW always does.

Are you sure your charger is working ok?

I copy B&W negatives in a similar way and have generally found the results to be far superior to those from a flatbed film scanner.

I use a remotely-triggered flash instead of an LED light and the DA 35mm macro lens. I've never found a problem with dust, it seems much less noticeable than when scanning with the flatbed.

I find I can get through them quite quickly once I get going.
