Every time there's a lunar event to watch for I have to be in the car travelling when it happens...

The moon certainly didn't look any bigger or red last night from what I saw though.

If you're going to buy from CashConverters, Cash Generator or CEX then be prepared to return the item(s). When they buy in/trade in items they don't have the same skills as most Camera shop workers and so are much more likely to miss defects (fungus, not working as should, etc.) - the problem will go un-noticed until purchased by someone

I know - it happened to me on two of the three occasions that I bought from them - additionally, one of the items I bought had a major issue that I took the trouble to document on the returns note, a couple of days later the same make and model of lens appeared at a different branch - I can only assume it sold and was returned again several times as it kept re-appearing

What's that phrase....

...Caveat Emptor
Argos did this with the faulty DA 70mm I bought from them many years ago. I now have one that works flawlessly

The price for the 15mm is pretty good.

There's one brief comment on Amazon UK but for the price you can get a much more powerful and flexible flash from Sigma or Metz, so I can understand why the little Pentax doesn't sell well.

Sorry to hear about your financial problems but you have your excellent stranger portraits to remind you (and all the rest of us) that photography these days needn't be an expensive hobby.

Numbers 3 and 5 are my favourites.

Is the A50 f/1.7, f/2 or f/1.4?
Is the A35 f/2 or f/2.8?

I think you need a professional to tell you if it can be repaired or not. Are you 100% sure the batteries you're using are charged?

M 35mm f/2.8 received today in fantastic condition and very well packaged. A very pleasurable transaction with Keith.

They still show as in stock on their website, but delivery is extra.

This morning I had a bit of a gear p0rn shoot, mainly because I wanted a shot of my DA limited lenses with the recent addition of the 15mm, but then I kept going until my flash batteries died.

Here is the 15mm with his buddies:

A size comparison between the Sigma UC 28-70 f/2.8-4 and the EX DF 28-70 f/2.8 constant aperture. The former is much smaller and lighter - just goes to show the price that has to be paid for a single stop at the long end. Cameras are MZ-6 and MZ-5N.

I have a remote that I used for my K200D but it's not necessary for long exposures with the K3. The K3 has a menu option for bulb mode for one shutter press to start the exposure and another to stop it. I think I've only used it once, when I was in the US this summer, but there's no 30s limit. Very handy to have.
