Hardly a surprise, what a bargain. I was sorely tempted myself.

I think any lens that performs well on APS-C will very likely perform well on FF. Plenty of people (myself included) use a lot of old glass on their APS-C DSLRs or mirrorless cameras and on FF they will have their originally-intended field of view and be easier to focus due to the larger and brighter viewfinders.

I think this worry about using older lenses on the new FF is making a mountain out of a molehill.

I'm glad to hear it. If you read some of the posts on here you'd think women didn't know what to do with a camera.

Maybe some of those complaining about their wives should invite them to give it a go.
I showed my Mrs a photo of a pink Q one day and she said "wow, that's nice...". I still think if I did get her one she'd use it a couple of times then leave it sitting in a drawer though.

The Auto Revuenon arrived today, very well packed and in fantastic condition.

Looks good to me, I like it.

To be honest I think you might need a tilt-shift lens to get a shot like that properly sharp from foreground to background.

Is that not APS-C? Thought it was.

Sounds like a good deal to me. This is an expensive camera when new and anything likely to be wrong will show in the first six months.

When I was looking into it, though in the end I bought a K-3, the most important difference between the K-5 and K-5II was that the mark II fixed the focusing problems in certain light that a lot of people complained about.

I don't think the removal of the AA filter is such a big thing. My photos with the old K200D were very sharp and it had an AA filter.

I do both. I try to always have a camera with me just in case. If I'm not going out specifically to take photos then the camera will often be either my Fuji X-M with a manual prime on it or a film compact or SLR. I won't lug a DSLR around if I don't know for sure I'll be taking photos.

M42 lenses can be adapted to Nikon, I don't think K-mount lenses can. There's a high chance the lens was produced in an F-mount.
