Hi everyone,

I am very pleased to be able to finally talk about the Pentax K-1 Full Frame camera.

As we all know it’s been a long time coming!

We are now in a position to take pre-orders with first stocks due in late April.

Body only price is £1599.

We are also offering the camera and grip at £1698

We’ve been very fortunate in having had an extensive play with the K-1 over the last few days. It really is a wonderful camera and we can’t wait to show it off!

As I’ve mentioned previously, we will be having Pentax with us on Friday 26th from 2pm until 5 pm and Saturday 27th from 9.30am until 4.30pm

We will have three Pentax K-1’s to play with and also the newly announced 15-30mm
and 28-105mm lenses. There will be two informal seminars in our studio at 11am and 3pm and we are also very pleased have Pentax ambassador Matt Emmett with us who will be presenting a seminar at 1pm.

We will be offering enhanced part-exchange offers (the best!) and finance is available. For PX quotes please email us at partexchange@srsmicrosystems.co.uk or send me a PM.

As always, if you have any questions then please ask.
For all things Pentax please visit www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk - anything not listed please email or call!

I take all my doubts back, and am very pleased to do so.

Thanks Chris.
I'll be calling tomorrow to preorder a body and grip. Will you be offering a bundle deal with the 24-70 f2.8 at all?

The sample we've played with for the last week was fully functional. The only caveat might be that you might not be able to put your own card in the camera....

Unfortunately I'm too far away but if you have plenty to play with then maybe you could pop a spare in the post for me to play with?

Promise I won't put my own memory card in it

having seen a few introductory videos about the K-1 today, I have to say I'm really impressed. Even without the FF sensor it's well specced.

I won't be buying one for a while, but I hope it sells bucketloads and there's no production problems/recalls ala sensor stains and flappy mirrors, etc

Agreed Smeggy, it looks like a solid unit. I wish them all the best with it.

Also I really like those operational light LEDs too. They look to be very practical.

I have cursed the lack of controls lighting quite a few times in the past when I've forgotten my head light at night but never for one moment did i imagine that Pentax would solve that problem with their new FF! Not to mention all the other goodies.

Temptation.... temptation!!!
