I bought an SD card from a seller on Amazon. Card turned out to be counterfeit; Amazon were really good with resolving the matter to my satisfaction. (Kept the card; full refund)

Thanks Steve. Re definition of blindness, that would explain, to some extent, why the voice-over included reference to obscuring the view-finder, etc.

..if I were buying again (or in any event) I would look at buying one that offered a timer facility as well, but if all you want is to reduce the possibility of camera shake this will do the job.
