I take it is an IQ rather than focus issue? You have fine-tuned the AF?

The other forum is now head-lining the official demise of the K-r.

Welcome to the forum.

I have no experience of Ricoh fit lenses, or the K-r, so can't help with your question, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can

Not sure whether it applies in this instance, (M42 only?), but this isn't a 'Ricoh pin' problem is it?

"The Wells Cameras web site is Trademark of Red Box Computer Solutions LTD"

So, as Red Box appear to be a bona fide company, contact them and ask about Wells Cameras.

They also say they are a B2B reseller, so maybe (a) VAT not included, and (b) minimum spend per order to businesses only?

The class numbers refer to the guaranteed write speed of the card ; class 2 = 2 MB/s, 4 = 4Mb/s, etc.

The higher the class number, the faster the card can be written to, BUT, the camera's own memory and processor will determine the actual highest write speed. In other words, if the camera has a maximum throughput of, say, the equivalent of class 6, (6 MB/s), then it can't be quicker than that even if you put a class 10 (10MB/s)card in it.

Be aware, though, that some cards write speeds are shown as 'Nx', this being compared with writing to a CD, where 'N' is a number and 'x' means 'times' (as in multiple), ie 13x.

13x = 2MB/s (class 2), 26x = 4MB/s (class 4), 40x = 6MB/s (class 6), and 66x = 10MB/s (class 10).

As the the number of 'Gbs', this will deteremine the maximum number of photos or minutes of video the card can store, but exactly how much depends on your camera. The camera manual will give the answer.

I have the MZ-7 (from new). If I were in your shoes I'd look at one of the MZ range; simple, light, all the functionality you're likely to want (subject to model)and CHEAP!

There are various pouches/'rain hoods' around that offer camera body/lens weather protection.

Can't point you towards any I'm afraid. Best to ask a Canikon user
