As someone who struggles with LR, I watched this to find out how you did the conversion, not what the conversion looked like.

Overall you did a great job, but three observations;

1 Use a script. If you did, it didn't sound like it, because although your voice-over flowed well (and there's nothing wrong with your voice )there were a few 'er's', which normally indicate thinking time and invariably accompanies a speech, etc, that is unscripted/unpracticed.

With a script you stop talking at the end of a sentence and don't start again until the next sentence. Don't fill the gap with an 'er' (although we all do it).

2 You need to show the top tool bar at all times. Don't presume all your viewers know their way around LR as well as you.

You zoomed in after 20 seconds and all I could see was the main image overlaid with drop-down menus, and then often only partially. I'd have preferred to see a large main image at the start only, then leave it small and keep the tool-bar in shot, because it's the 'how' that's important, not the image itself. The image, after all, is just an example.

3 At the outset you gave a reason for making the video that sounded like an embarrassed excuse! No need and does nothing for the video.

Stick to the simple rules - tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you've told them. In this instance, go straight in with 'This is a tutorial on how.., etc'.

Have to agree with the others; you're a brave man and well done!

Hi supersammy. I'm surprised no-one's commented.

Anyway, having a vested interest so to speak, you appear to have done better with the lens than I did

Like the photos - good exposure and sharpness - and look forward to seeing more, hopefully with something more challenging like insects and other bugs.

What did you use with the lens? Flash, tripod, any form of focussing aid? Please don't tell me they were hand-held

The answer may be in the price, given what the likes of SRS etc charge for the same product.

Did you buy from Amazon or via Amazon?

Although in fairness not Amazon, I too bought a 'genuine' Pentax battery for my K20D at a bargain price, and a very accurate copy it is indeed - packaging, branding, etc - the give away in my case being the colour of the actual battery contacts!

I bought a 'snide' SanDisk memory card once via Amazon, and they were all over it like a rash when I contacted them - immediate refund from them and good-bye to the third party retailer.

It would be close to being an APS-H sensor as found on the Canon EOS 1D (are we allowed to mention that )

But what if it was square measuring the short length? A miniature sensor in a DSLR....
Could work for a mini DSLR but bigger than the Q.

The sensor would be 15.8 x 15.8 mm which would put it in Sigma Foveon / Four-thirds territory which would (I guess) allow a thinner camera body. Effectively a Four-thirds size body that might take K-mount lenses unless my maths has gone awry!

What has all this nonsense got to do with the K30
Agreed. JAK's link if followed back to source has comments dated Feb 2009 it appears; although someone mentions 'K30' I think it's in the context of a direct successor to the K20D.

Firts thing I'd do if you're concerned about whether the camera has already been used, is to download a copy of PhototMe, which reads exif data, take a picture, load it onto your computer, open the picture you've just uploaded in PhotoMe, then look for the shutter count data in the 'Manufacturers notes' section.

Just an example. Other similar types about. Google's your friend!
