I am sure Pentax Expert will love it, as there are no plants or (feathered) birds in sight.

It looks like Tamron have dropped the Pentax fitting from their better lenses including the Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di USD newly released.

Thanks for that John, do you happen to know if the lens fits in the case with the hood attached in the reverse position?

Simon
Hi Simon, yes it does, all dedicated Pentax cases allow this. It's a little pricey though £43

I'm currently looking for the genuine case for the DA*16-50 if anyone has one to sell, Pentax S100-140 Soft Lens Case.

Judging by their previous lenses it will be PK-A fit when it arrives, so you'll get all exposure modes but manual focus.
It's certainly the case with my 8mm f/3.5 fisheye.

I think this might be a case where I'd forego optical superiority for the convenience of a smaller lens
As much as I'd like the faster aperture I'd rather have the FA-35/2 in my bag, it's an interesting alternative though. The more choice available in Pentax the better as far as I'm concerned with the current dearth of available lenses. The IQ does look good but I think the DA-35/2.4 has it beat:

Not to mention the FA-31 ltd and FA-35/2

Would I see much of a difference with the 10mm?
I doubt I could have shot this at 16mm:

Hi thanks for that John. I don't want the 8 16, as I understand this is more of a fish eye effect? Also impossible to fit filters.

Misfuds have 7 available of the 10 20 @ £349 link

Hi Karl, at that price it's a bargain. There's a big difference between 10mm and 16mm IMHO.
