The FA is generally regarded as the better lens optically, The F shares the optical configuration of the A series and late M series.

OK, I just don't get it, the one area where Tamron would have a niche market and they just don't do it in a Pentax fitting. No Pentax 55-300 SDM, no Sigma 70-300 HSM in fact no other manufacturer offering silent/fast AF. They do a 17-50/2.8 but so do Sigma and it has HSM, Pentax has the DA*16-50/2.8 SDM. They do a 70-200/2.8 so do Sigma and it has HSM. So why not a Tamron SP 70-300 Di USD there's no competition..........AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!
