I was asked to photograph it, apparently it's quite uncommon where we are. The description was "looks like small palm trees" I remember a name ending in Wort, but it just sounded like a German sausage to me
Thanks agai, regards,
John

There certainly seem to be a couple of variants of the 70-200 sigma available on the SRS website - the non-OS version (from the blurb) is also non-HSM in Pentax fit and looks to be still available - SRS will know for sure. I think that the Tamron is non-OS and non-HSM in it's most recent guise for Pentax as well - SRS look pretty competitive on price for that as well -worth a look at least.
I could be wrong - I am sure someone will correct me if so...

Nope, HSM or SDM is only support with the new DSLR cameras.
You need to have the non HSM version do you want to have autofocus.

John - thanks for the link - interesting article.
The following has put me right off buying a Sigma 120-400:
"The Tamron 70-200 f2.8 is joining the Sigma 120-400 and 150-500 (45% failure rate) in the Lensrentals Hall of Shame: lenses we no longer carry because their failure rate is so high we just can’t afford them. Almost half of them have failed, usually after 3 to 6 months in service".
