Hard to pick a favourite but at the moment No3 is great.
No4 is a great shot, was it taken through glass? Are the horizontal lines I can see reflections? This not a criticism, just curious.

I agree, and would have thought an image would have been judged on it's own merits and not on the difficulty or perceived difficulty in obtaining it, or the subject come to that. Although to be fair it must be quite hard to ignore these factors when judging. fatspider wrote:

Taken with a K5 DA 50-200 (aka kit lens) 1/1000 sec f11. iso 400 @ 125mm
I don't know but am sure the lenses you already own out perform this lens so maybe for now you have the gear you need for "birds on sticks" or flying etc.
By the way this image was not difficult to get

Nice shots and especially like the underwater shot. If anyone is interested the current issue of Digital Photographer magazine has a brief review of this and it's competitors, they rated it joint last with the Canon PowerShot D20 and behind the Olympus Stylus TG-2 and the Nikon Coolpix AW 110. Not had a proper read but seems to be because of AF issues.

I agree, the North Norfolk coast is a beautiful place to explore and I seem to appreciate it more now that I don't live in Norfolk anymore, or is that just me getting a bit older and taking more notice . Was lucky with our visit to Wells as the sun made an appearance for a change only clouding over a tad later in the day, still a very popular place for locals and tourists to visit and enjoy the sights and the fish and chips.I love that part of the coast.

Is it poss that you are confusing megapixels with megabytes :i have pentax k-30 with 16 megapixels how can i produce photographs which are 20 and above?
Raw files are big, just had a quick look at some of mine and 16, 17, 18 and 19 plus MegaBytes normal, camera is a 16 odd MegaPixel K5
Converting to jpeg will reduce file size considerably and then cropping or changing image size will reduce file size even more down to the KB sizes you mention.
I hope this helps and am sure someone who understands all this technical stuff will come along and explain it better than I can.
