Hi Howard.

Where did you get the top shot from (the opposite side to the viewing park)?

John.
Good morning John,

You are absolutely right, it was on the mound opposite the viewing park. It's where I normally go when I go there.

How often do you go?

Cheers,

Howard

I too still have an SMC DA 3.5 - 5.6 18-55 AL which came with an IST* DL2 which I bought from Jessops about 5 years ago. Always been happy with it. Now attached my K10.

Hi Rob,

Interesting advice and comments here. I visit RAF Valley quite often when I go to Holyhead, especially the Cymyran end. I find it a good place to get close up shots of the aircraft when they land or when taxiing. These are from last October, with a 55-300 and a K5 and probably on TAV.

And this with the Sigma 150-500.

It was grey that day!!!

I find both quite good, except that the Sigma is heavy to handhold, but then I'm no expert.

Hope that helps,

Cheers,

Howard

Nice ones Cliff. I, too, go for the dog(s) as my favourites.

So you didn't sell the 150-500 then.

Cheers,

Howard

Like these Stuey. Are they taken on the moors above Llangollen up the Horseshoe Pass? I've never seen a crossbill in the flesh, lucky you.

Hyfryd iawn.

Shocked to hear that Cliff P has had a heart attack. I'm sure everyone will join me in wishing him a speedy and full recovery. Barrie Forbes and I spent a very pleasant day with him and John Whit at the East Lancashire Railway recently.
As for the pictures Howard, are they at Arley on the River Severn between Bewdley and Bridgnorth? Wherever they are very pleasant.

No David they're near Arley Hall in Cheshire, not far from Knutsford.

I've spoken to Cliff and he says he is "on the mend" and is bored and that's why he is doing some PPing.
