I am surprised at your comment. Of course it will happen and not in the to far future.

If you think it won't, you probably believe there are no mobile phones.

In the future, The sensor will be thin enough to place it at the same position where the Film pressure plate used to be. there will be only 1 SMD IC witch will do the whole job and the display screen will also be very thin. it could even stick a few mm out, without making the camera look bulky and the rest should be easy.
However keep the K-mount.
Don't forget, the original SLR's had a lot of mechanics and also a mechanical self timer. This space is all free now.

Once a month I am going on a shooting trip for the day.

I think I am still a bit used to my film cameras with the amount of photos I take.

Normally I come home with about 40 to 60 pictures.
Then I am happy to get 2 good shots out of it.

However the idea of going out by myself and just looking for good motives is very enjoyable.
I think part of the fun is trying to find something worth while to photograph, setting up the camera, selecting various lenses and then taking the shot.
I suppose this is one advantage I have of being an amateur and not having to do it for a living.

You are right, because the 10 x 8 film has the same resolution as a 35mm film.

However with a digital FF the logic is, that the resolution is much greater, say 30000 pixels and when you crop it to the APC size,it will still have 16000 pixels or there a bouts. This leaves the resolution after cropping the same as using the the APC only. So you didn't loose anything, except the wider angle of the FF.

Question: Why are so many APC users so against FF?

Personally I also benefit from the extra reach of APSc for wildlife.
APS does not have an extra reach with over FF with a Given lens.

If you crop the full frame to the same dimensions as APC, you'll get the same reach.

I like the first picture.

We have similar fungi here in Australia.
I don't know yet if they are edible or not.
I put a quantity in to the Stew my mother in law cooked. ( she didn't know about it).
However, it didn't affect her. It is possible, that toadstools don't affect witches.
Now I am still in the dark about it.

It's a nicely executed idea, but personally I wouldn't buy one.
Well, I would. The Spotmatic was just the right for the size of my hands.
The MX was to small.
This picture looks great.
I want one!!!

Hi, I like the second picture the best, The bright red lipstick and the slightly hidden ear rings make it. It also is a very pritty girl.

Then you've got to start making what is now a non standard version of the mount.
Why would you have to use a non standard mount?

You could either use the existing mount with all the contacts and just don't internally connect the contacts or just eliminate the contacts altogether.
You could use all the existing lenses if you copy the open aperture metering system used from the K1000 onwards. If you want to use screw lenses, you just have to do what you do now, set the lens to manual and use an adaptor. Ok, the purists may have a problem with some of the current lenses, only made for the APS sensor size. However Pentax could also release a new set of lenses to fit the new and of course existing earlier cameras.
The lens could have all the contacts, but they are just not used.

I would say, this could be an interesting camera, as long as it kept the TTL metering and maybe the TTL flash.

The Exif in this forum does not show what type or make of lens has been used when the picture was taken. I think it could be very usefull to mention it in the capture for each picture.

Kind regards, Horst
