Having said that I've used 39mm lenses for macro work with excellent results and they would probably be suitable for portraiture too (as long as your subject isn't stood too far away). I got my 42mm>39mm adapter from eBay for around £3 but as John suggests you can also get them easily enough from SRB Griturn.
Once you have the adapter you'll start looking out for those Leica bargains...

120 film > APS-C digital > 35mm film (in my opinion)
Hence I think my days of shooting 35mm are very nearly at an end...
Regards
When it comes to detail resolved I find images from my K10D beat images from 35mm film scanned to a high resolution. When I scan images from my 120 negatives to a similar resolution then there's fine detail present that the K10D doesn't even come close to.
If I could have medium format quality but with the convenience of digital I'd be a very happy user indeed.

If that fails then you'll need to contact your local repair centre I'm afraid.

As for the bokeh I rather like it! Gives the lens some character rather than just turning everything to a colour soup (like most modern lens designs do).

Do you (a) sell it (b) keep it in its presentation box and admire it now and again or (c) use the thing and enjoy it?
Then in 10 years when prices have reached astronomical levels (a) for the whole lot.
