Welcome to the forum - nice tiger's eye in the gallery!

Hello Jeffrey - welcome to Pentax User

Hi Steve, glad to have you aboard.

That's a good looking dog! Really suits that ethereal glow too.

Makes me think of Christmas somehow - maybe it's the OOF light points in the background that remind me a little of snowflakes? Great shot!

If you're just doing RAW -> JPEG (or TIFF) conversions with a few basic tweaks (contrast / saturation / sharpness / white balance / exposure) and cropping / re-sizing, then I think the bundled Pentax Photo Lab that comes with your camera is as good as any. It's based on the Silkypix software but with a reduced feature set. I've tried other software solutions but have ended up doing all my RAW work in PPL and find it quite satisfactory.

It'll cost you nothing to try it out and you already have the discs to hand; if you don't get on with it then you've lost nothing and you can look at obtaining something else.

I'm sure you'll be OK as long as you get a receipt - under UK law anyway. Any product sold commercially must be "fit for purpose" which overrides any manufacturer (non-)warranty.

The price for the 50-200 is undoubtably a good one though. Even I'm tempted and I don't really want one!

I've looked through your gallery and it all seems like good stuff, but unfortunately they're not things I'm really after. Sorry!

Reckon you'd clean up over on eBay though...

Hello Miguel, welcome to the forum.

I had to drive through Watford this afternoon and couldn't resist - at £39.99 it seemed rude not to buy one...

Looking forward to having a play this evening.

I'll start this thread off but I won't look at it again until my judging is over so I'll not be swayed...
