I hope Santa's brought everyone what they wanted for Christmas - he's brought me socks, rolling tobacco and a set of 3 Cokin ND grads; so he must have got my list after all!

It looks like a 31mm was beyond the capabilities of his elves though so I'll have to stump up for that m'self...

Merry Christmas one and all!

Welcome Peter! Son of RAG!!!

Are you guys our first Father and Son team?

This is GREAT!

Not quite; Mongoose's dad posts on rare occassions and Promhandicam's son had an account too (although not heard from either for quite a while). Plus there's Hardgravity + Honesty making a father/daughter team.

All one big happy family huh?

One sold recently on eBay for £40 with a few accessories (including the motor wind but no lenses) so that's probably a fair reflection of the body's value.

The real money (just as it is in Pentaxland) will be with the lenses; I seem to recall the 85/1.4 Rokkor being worth quite a bit on its own. Fast 50's will always find themselves good homes as will wides and ultra-wides (I had a Tokina 17mm in Minolta fit that fetched nearly £400 a couple of years ago).

The cheaper "consumer" zooms (Minolta or 3rd party) are less likely to fetch very much on their own, so if you have any of these it'd probably be less hassle to bundle them in with the body when selling.

I'd personally go for option 3 and have the Pentax 55-300. If you're after something with long telephoto capabilities then you'll probably end up getting one at some point anyway, so look at it as saving yourself money in the long run.

As you've already got a K100D I'm guessing you also have a DA18-55 MkI? In which case you'll end up with two of them - put them on eBay and use the money to buy a MkII (or a DA16-45 if you can afford to put a bit extra in).
