That's a shame, but at least you tried! Maybe you'll get another chance soon.

Hi Greytop and welcome to the forum.

Nothing wrong with Oly - if I was a sports / wildlife shooter I'd probably be drooling over an E3 and some of that lovely Zuiko glass... Pentax makes for a nice compliment at the wider/normal end of things.

If you're willing to post overseas then you could still get a reasonable price; although the value is dropping in absolute terms, the currently weak £ means a buyer in the US (for example) could give you 30% less (in $) than this time last year and you'd still get the same price in sterling.

A lot of sellers shoot themselves in the foot by sending items to UK only, although it'll be one of these I intend taking advantage of before too long.

No worries buddy, I chuckled too!

I realised as soon as I saw the packet there was no flash inside, so I was feeling it and trying to guess what it was they *did* send. I'd have never have got that though.

Still, the way I see it I'm now sorted for Christmas Gift Tags for life!

That's probably because when the economy was looking robust at this time last year a lot of MF cameras were being bought out of curiosity by people who'd never had the chance to use one before, hence prices were going upwards. Now folks are liquidating non-essential assets you'll find a lot of those very same cameras being dumped back on the market at reduced prices - if you have some liquid funds then this could be a very good year for picking up bargains...

Once I find a 67 with finder / lens / back in serviceable condition and for less than £150 (it'll happen soon!) then I'll be joining the ranks of owners.

My package finally arrived this morning - I think they're just sending out whatever was left in their office before they did a bunk.

In the lucky dip I got: A packet of Multipurpose Labels (red) for a Dymo LabelWriter!

I've filed a claim with PayPal but I don't expect to see my money again. Still, I have some nice red sticky labels to plaster on things instead. Caveat emptor and all that...

Can't help with the dynamic range as that was a new feature for the K20D so I don't have it

I have my auto range set from 100-1600 (inclusive) which is the whole range for the K10D - you have two further levels to take it (3200 and 6400). I use it if I'm bumped up against the higher end in my above scenarios, if lighting conditions should change then things can only get better and the camera can adjust accordingly!

A lot of people don't like using the highest sensitivities due to the noise they generate, which is fair enough but I'm not one of them - I don't mind the noise most of the time.
