No, the registration distance on M-mount lenses is too short. Even if you could find an adapter you'd be unable to focus to infinity.

If it goes cheap it'd be worth picking up anyway - plenty of folk on eBay would give you good £££ for it.

Go to your local Post Office and ask for "Airmail Small Packets". If it's a valuable lens you'll have the option of adding both extra insurance (up to £500) and "International Signed For" which gives you confirmation of delivery. Make sure the lens is well wrapped (bubble wrap's good) and double box it for extra peace of mind - some postal services aren't exactly careful!

If it's going to Italy then I'd say the "International Signed For" part is a must, for other countries it's just an option.

I can see how UV light would kill fungus, but I can't see how it would make it disappear? The fungus itself would surely be left as a dead husk?
The fungus is microscopic so in order to see any dead husks you'd need extremely acute eyesight!

The "spiders web" that is visible to the naked eye isn't fungus; it's the excretions left behind by the fungus as it munches its way through whatever it's eating (Canada balsam usually). Depending on the strain of fungus the excretions can be highly acidic and it's these that will eat through lens coatings to etch themselves into the glass itself.

Basically, when you're "cleaning fungus" what you're really doing is cleaning old fungus poo...

Actually, the EXIF data in your pictures is showing Aperture Priority. The problem lies in the forum's gallery software which seems to show everything as Shutter Priority regardless of the mode used. The problem has been reported (and discussed here in the past) but it seems the tech guys are struggling with it a bit.

I have to agree with everyone else and say you seem to have the eye and the technique already, I think you'd find inspiration more useful than any formal learning.

Why not try something completely different (like macro, nature or portaits for example); different branches of photography will teach you different sets of skills as you go along, before you know it you'll be good at all of it.

Love the 6th pic in of the guy holding the folding camera, viewfinder to eye and a pipe sticking out of his mouth
That looks scarily like my Dad!

Excellent set of photos though - I do enjoy looking at street shots

I've got a dozen or so M42 bodies (mostly Prakticas and Zenits) that I can't even give away so I was thinking of doing something similar. I have a friend who's a framemaker and I figured they'd look quite cool hung on a wall. If my prototype goes well I'll post some pictures.

Just a thought I did have a Samsung gx 20 for a year or so and I think it has a cmos sensor but I did not notice any softness in the j pegs from that camera.

If I remember rightly (and I'm happy to stand corrected) from the reviews at the time, Samsung used a higher default sharpening level in the GX20 than Pentax did in the K20D. This was one of the reasons the Samsung was hailed as being more user friendly for those who didn't want to do their own PP.

As I only shoot raw files (and haven't owned either camera) it's something I didn't pay too much attention to at the time.
