Leica submarine periscope mount. came optional with every u-boat purchase in the 40's I believe.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

It is a Micro Visoflex Mk1 of course.
Was that a Leica lens attached?

No, the registration distance on M-mount lenses is too short. Even if you could find an adapter you'd be unable to focus to infinity.

If it goes cheap it'd be worth picking up anyway - plenty of folk on eBay would give you good £££ for it.

Surely the Visoflex lenses are shortened to accommodate the extra length of the Visoflex in which case an adapter straight to the lens should be possible.

Maybe, but it's hard to imagine getting a bespoke one made up for less than the cost of a comparable lens that already happens to have a K-mount. Something like this has collector value and would be best used on an actual Leica (or not, apparently they were fairly rubbish so a life in a display cabinet beckons).

Is it me?

Either the lens is huge or the cabinet/drawers it's sitting on is/are teeny tiny?
Lurking is shirking.!
