I'd go along with that - I've had quite a bit of use out of my bellows since I bought them and they've allowed me to try out all sorts of weird and wonderful combinations

But you've already got the 28-200, alright it's not quite as wide or as long at the ends but it's not a million miles away (or a couple of steps back and forward to be more accurate). Each to their own though and you know your needs better than I...

The Tamron and the Pentax are essentially the same except for the coatings; the Pentax has the SMC coatings and the Tamron has its own version. I don't use any of these "superzooms" personally so I've no idea which is the best I'm afraid...

Having said that, I do use some Limiteds and I know which I'd be happier spending my money on (*hint* it's not the zoom )

I'd probably go for the Sirius 28mm reversed onto the Pentax 50mm for maximum quality (and it's not far short of 2:1 which should be ample for most macro work). The Pentax takes 49mm filters so you'll need a 52->49 reversing ring and away you go! Good luck

But I notice folks across the pond have a better appreciation for roses and other flowers. Must be more civilized. LOL
When you live a country with this much rain it's pretty easy to grow flowers.

Lovely shot anyway, my orange rose hasn't bloomed yet but I've had red, pink, purple, white and yellow so far. I'm hoping when it does appear it looks as healthy as yours does!

Exactly Stefan, there are several recurring questions asked by new users when they join the forum. A succinct definitive answer for each, might save a lot of time and be of real benefit.
This is another point that's been discussed here before and I'm one of those of the opinion that new members should be encouraged to ask questions, even if they've been covered a thousand times before, as that's what keeps the forum alive.

If every question had already been answered and those answers were easy to find, then there would be no incentive to newbies to join up and take part. Nor would there be any opportunitys for the longer-established among us to jump on our personal hobby-horses every time our favourite subject arose.

FAQ's and their like are certainly convenient but they are also a little "cold" (in my opinion) so I for one wouldn't be keen on seeing this particular site becoming a host to them.

Would you still have appreciated there service if you did not get a replacement from Pentax Langley to take with you to Italy? No I don't think so........
But he did, that's the point.

I've never had to deal with Pentax directly myself, but it's nice to read a positive story for a change - well done Nathan!
