Unusual in construction too - two elements cemented together in a single group just like a Lensbaby. The results look similar to a Lensbaby too but I'd imagine the Pentax lens is a lot easier to use and get repeatable results with.

I've used it for copying 6x6 negs as well. Here is an example of one I did and then converted it to a positive in 'Photoshop'. I used a K100d behind the extension tube and 50mm f1.7 M lens.
That's quite an impressive copy - I may well give that a go myself as I've been struggling to copy my 6x6 negs properly (I've got the slide adapter for 35mm on the bellows and it took me long enough to get that set up ).

Can't help you there I'm afraid. I do have some Taks that will be going to eBay at the end of the month (once everyone's been paid of course!) and one of them's a 55/2; but it's a Super-Tak rather than an Auto so not quite the same thing...

It's on its way btw - expect a fat padded envelope around the start of next week. I gave it a clean before sending so it might smell a little of saddle soap

I love the first one Aiki!

I quite like your original composition but I think I slightly prefer RR's crop. Not so keen on his change of colour though - the cast on your original was just perfect, magical even.

With the second picture I really like the colours again but I don't think there's any central point to hold my attention - it's a little too "busy" for my taste.

You should really do a print of the first one, it'd look great hanging on a wall.

Short story is I caved in and bought a CX1 in black!
As another Ricoh compact user (GR-Digital) may I be the first to welcome you to the club!

I like the fact mine feels like a camera rather than a mobile phone with the phone features switched off. Very intuitive, quick operation, lovely IQ and built like a tank. Very underrated cameras and well worth a look.

I've had plenty of Helios 44's and never noticed any yellowing of the elements on any of them, so I'd guess not.

There can't be many left kicking about, but now I've said that you'll probably find one tomorrow
If I do then I'll be a very happy bunny indeed!

The number you quoted makes me think I probably shouldn't hold my breath though...

Oh well, I'll just keep bumping my wanted ad from time-to-time and hope someone replies one day...

While on the subject of Taks, have a look at this chap's collection. And he is only 19...
Yet despite his huge collection he doesn't have either of the 58mm Taks - I've got no hope of finding them have I?
