Yes, but for occasional use, where a Li-ion may have lost it's charge, a set of energizers is an instant option.

Out of interest, does anybody know which, if any flashes DON'T use AAs?

Except that most flash units get used very little, so a cheap off the shelf battery is a good ides.

Anyway my 20year old flash uses the same battery as my camera, I have a K200d that runs on, you guessed it, AAs

Just to throw a spanner in the works, have you thought about replacing your lens with a 18-200 or 18-250 zoom?

One lens many uses!

Gross, but tasty!

Brings back memories of this type of food in Spain, with a lot more than a glass of local wine.

Good evocative image.

If my memory serves me correctly Darlene, the first plane is a PBY Catalina variant, called Canso. It's used as a water bomber on forest fires.

The second looks like a Lockheed Super Electra, which was called the Hudson by the RAF. A bit of research here reveals that the US military version was called the Lodestar.

Hope that's of interest.

Nice shots, good cropping too.

Looks like a K mount lens, widest aperture, going by the ring is f2.5 so a fast(ish) lens.

At a fiver it's worth a punt, but don't get carried away.

No problem, maybe you could wait until it's quiet again, say...

...December?

There's a camera shop in Malaga that does Pentax, sorry can't remember the name, but it's close to the Roman amphitheatre.

It's the only place I've seen a real live WHITE K-m.

With your Spanish, Jack, you should be able to find it.

Or have I just confused you?

There's an old thread here that might help.

There again...

Oh no John!!!

Not a time loop!!!

(Slaps self in face) Sorry. Jessops is definitely still on line, I've just checked.

Shame it's not a time loop, we could have ordered some brand new Pentax MXs from 1976!
