The Tamron 70-300 is a respected lens on the forum, since a lot of members had them offered instead of a Pentax 50-200. The offending store was Jessops and most members tried them and liked them.

I have one I use regularly with good results.

My K200 'finder isn't as bright as a K20, but as long as the subject is centred it works fine.

The last time I cut a head of was with my AGFA range finder, that was user error!

The only difference, as far as I know is the name.

Your not confusing the K2000 with the K200 are you?

The K200 has weather sealing and a lower ISO, but more AF points, a different menu system, blah blah!

If you use a SCART plug and attach your cable to it the TV should display your pics on the AV channel. Remember to attach the round yellow plug to the Yellow socket on the adaptor.

Yo chill dude!

I was only interested 'cause I wanted a cheap Tamron 18-250, ended up ringing on the old telethingy and collecting from a way off.

Still.....

I agree with SRS that the Plustek is a better option.

When I've used my cheap neg scanner I spend more time adjusting colours and cleaning the image up than it's really worth.

The scanner doesn't produce results in 1 second.

I have something similar that takes as long to do 4 negs as my scanner does to do 4 pictures.

If you have a slide/neg hood use the scanner!

When I had my K20D it was set to operate on start up, no problems at all.
Have you got the same facility on the K7, and do you use it?

Personally I do not use this function. Shaking the sensor inevitably puts some stress on the mounts and other parts of the camera so doing this unnecessarily may result in a premature failure.
If the camera fails early then just use it as an excuse to upgrade!

"Oh dear my sensor's broke, I'll just get a new..." at which point wife/partner kills you

Personally I have it enabled on my K200d and have had no problems so far.

Looks like the Jessops IT boys are as good as the shop staff in most stores!

It's definitely down at the moment, on FF and IE7, I'm expecting a sign in our high street saying

"Code 404, please retry later"
