I don't have a *istD, but do have a K110 which has the same sensor.

And yes I still use it alongside my K200.

But if you want to shoot film modern 400ASA stuff tends to be forgiving.

Check the exposure reading (after fitting new batteries) against your digital bodies, that way you'll get an idea as to how far out it is.

My original MX is only 1 stop out and Fuji colour handles it OK.

I agree with Kris, a good used K10 or K20 will fill the MZ-6 slot nicely, making full use of the lenses you already have.

I might have missed what budget you're on but if it's good enough there are still new K20s out here at good prices.

Oh, and don't be put off by the modern kit lens, it's not a bad performer and makes a good walk about for city breaks.

It looks like a Sanderling to me Kris.

As far as I know they're spread out along the shorelines the world over...

...but I could be wrong.

Don't worry, the assistants will be out of work soon, when Jessops close the less profitable shops.

Most Spotmatic models, ME Supers and, for some strange reason, MG bodies all seem to be appreciating rapidly.

I know the first two are a joy to use, but the MG, really is a bit point and shoot!

As for lenses, anything Pentax and almost anything with a K mount seem on the up as well.

Try ebay.

There are usually several firms advertising cheap remotes.

As far as I know if it says Pentax then it will work on all Pentax models. My cheap one works on my K110d, K200d and MZ-6!

Could the lens mount have something to do with it?

Canon dropped the FD mount around 1987, Pentax are still using the K mount. As we've seen over the last year or so K mount lenses are readily available and increasing in value. Where are the FD lenses/

That's just my opinion mind, the build quality, ability to STILL be repaired at a good price and size could also be factors.

Are you still using the bath towel Kris?

I thought you would have invested in a nice black drape by now.

Nice tree by the way, I must have missed that.
