Been out at a Yorkshire Nature reserve today and there were a few birds close enough to photograph but, as usual, quite a few even further away. So, these K-3iii and 55-300 PLM lens photos have, as usual, been heavily cropped.
The Kingfisher was obliging and sat briefly on a nearby stick and then flew about a bit. One day, I WILL get a decent close up of a kingfisher in flight!!!! The shutter speed was 1/1500th sec.
The blooming Green Sandpiper was inconsiderate in flying out of the frame. I do like the water/mud droplets though, shutter speed was also 1/1500th sec.

You could always get a SONY RX10 iv bridge camera - it's very capable and has zoom up to 600mm (equiv)

It was the result of quite a bit of experimentation following the advice and inspiration of a fellow photographer.
Burst mode for c10-15 seconds or until the buffer filled up. Manual focus.
Then focus merged a set of them in Affinity2. Depends on the burst mode speed - not every photo was merged. Sometimes every 3rd photo used.
NOTE: It wasn't that busy with birds either.

So, having annoyed you all, here's the answers. The Electronic shutter and constant LED ring lighting caused the striped effect. The LED light is actually flickering at a rate above what our eyes can see. The electronic shutter reads in lines sequentially (remember the old 625 line TVs?) and so captures the on and off cycles as “stripes”.
Yes, it does look like a grill pattern.

The random patterning was simply the empty pan after it had been used to boil rice and it was drained, then left on the heat to finish drying the rice more.

This close up photography can be fun 😇😇 No metal fatigue and I wasn't fatigued after my rice based meal

That's an exceedingly good conclusion re the frying pan and so very close.
