Really unusual and executed very well.
Reminds me of the kind of illustration one might see in a textbook.
Well worth the effort i'd say...well done.

When family are abroad I use FlightAware to track their return, so reminiscent. Brilliant

On reflection....
Could you imagine ATC'ing that lot???
You end that stressed, that you'd be that heavily sedated... you'd be dead!!

Wow! Well . .
My Air traffic Control photo was entered into our local photo club competition and scored very highly and so was in the top ten.
It then went into a local club vs clubs competion with 4 other local photo clubs - and the judging outcome meeting/presentation was last night with about 45 photos in the mix.
I'm pleased to say that I thought that the judge was great, knowlegable and made some great comments and decisions.
He scored it 18 out of 20. The only entry which scored more, was given 19.
So, I got a second place - albeit shared with a few othes who also scored 18.
I'm very pleased with that outcome.
NOTE: A few other fantastic photos were NOT scored so highly, so the opinion of those photographers about the judging may well not be the same as mine

+1 to all of the above. Are you going to have to change your name from GrumpyGrandPa to GrinningFromEarToEarGrandPa??

Burst mode for c10-15 seconds or until the buffer filled up. Manual focus.
Then focus merged a set of them in Affinity2. Depends on the burst mode speed - not every photo was merged. Sometimes every 3rd photo used.
NOTE: It wasn't that busy with birds either.
