Hi

I have been on the same DA*300 TC journey myself - and having owned very TC known to man - the HD 1.4 to me is not just the best option, it is the only real option.

In case you are interested (or have found a better deal - in which case - let me know) - Park Cameras at £289 seems to be the best price around currently and I will probably take the plunge in the next few weeks

Not wishing to put the cat among the pigeons - but - if photo editing is going to be your No1 use - have you considered a desk top with a nice big 26" (or bigger) screen?

I have LR6 running on a £300 Toshiba laptop and it works fine but when it comes to editing - give me the desk top and the big screen any day of the week - I only use the laptop for editing when away from home.

Plus - IMHO - you can get a lot more for your money in a desk top and they tend to be much more 'future proof'.

It may of course be that you already use a desk top for editing and just want a laptop for portability - in which case - ignore me

It is a stunningly beautiful and thought provoking statue.
It has been photographed a million tines
No image I have seen of it ever does it justice.... until now

I suspect you do not realise just how good this is Alan - it really is an amazing image that any tog should be proud of and it deserves to be seen. Compare this to the photo that appears of Tommy on the Town council website for instance!

It will be a long time before you better this one Alan

We shall be heading off to Cornwall for our annual 2 week pilgrimage next week. Initially staying in Polperro before heading further south to Mousehole and the Scilly isles

I know the south of the county like a local taxi driver - but am less familiar with the area around Polperro.

I am familiar with Looe, Fowey, Cawsand and Kingsand but that is pretty much it until you get south of St Austell.

So - does anybody have any 'must see' tips for anywhere within an hour or so drive of Polperro?

Thanks in advance

Carl

Just here by any chance ?

Like you Carl, if I'd known about it earlier I would have been there!
Perhaps a bit further away Andy - but if they cross in the right place - that could be good I suspect they will be coming in from the East to give the best view to the spectators on the bridge

Only just found out about this - and in case anybody in the area is interested and like me - had not heard of it.....

Up to 13 Spitfires are setting off from Humberside airport today to celebrate the battle of Britain.

All will be flying over the Humber Bridge at 1604

They will then be splitting in to groups and flying over a wide area in the North covering parts of East Yorks, North Yorks, Teeside, North Lincs, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire

Full details of places covered and timings here link

If I had known in advance - I know exactly where I would be standing on Hessle foreshore to get the bridge shots!
