Small hands - thougth clearly people and kids come in different sizes, as a small woman my hands are very similar size to my 10 year old goddaughters and I use a k-x fine.
If it's an assumption you have made I'd suggest taking him to a shop and just confirming what size / sort of cameras he can hold and control.

I tried selling the Pentax version a while ago and have kept an eye on similar since.
What I have observed is that it seems to be very price sensitive, price it much above £200 and unless it's absolutely mint, boxed etc. etc.
So, it may be less a case of is there demand than exactly what you are prepared to let it go for.

We have the Silk Pro 700 DX which we are very happy with but wouldn't use anything 'lower down' the silk range than that to be honest. We looked at them but didn't seem stable or high enough.Anyone have any experience with a Slik Pro II?

I also have transitions lenses in my glasses for short sight.
To view colours, screens etc. 'undarkened' I simply take my glasses off ( up onto head etc.) and hold said item close to my eyes where I can see them fine & naturally.
Am I missing some reason Horst you can't do this rather than have to phaff about with second pairs of glasses etc.?
If you were long sighted etc. it wouldn't work clearly.

Thanks Matt, not surprised it's 16.
I have studied the initial stuff you posted on how to get the best out of flash and it was very useful & have tried the fully manual way when I have time.
But often with a 9 month year old nephew ( main use of flash as I don't shoot much indoors otherwise) who squirms and wriggles all over the place it's more than I can do just to keep the little chap in sharp focus. Looking forward to him being a little older and able to respond to 'keep still' and 'cheese'.

Matt that's really useful information.Ken,
The K20D and prior used a 16 segment metering
The K7 and K5 series use 77 segment metering - and that coupled with better algorithms means the body is much less likely to 'flinch' at the sight of specular flash highlights (the K20D and prior could see a highlight and consequently dial back the flash power far too much).

Do you happen to know what the situation is on the k-x? We have a k-x and a K10 and if the k-x is likely to perform better as per K7/5 with our AF360 it would be handy to know - or indeed vice versa.

PS CS2 relies on an old version of Camera RAW which has not been updated to include support for image files from modern cameras.Thanks OP & others.

I can confirm that it will open DNG files from my K5 so you could convert all of your PEF's to DNG with their free converter.
We have Elements 10 which does almost everything we are likely to use, but have downloaded this 'just in case' we find the need to do something that E10 can't but CS2 Photoshop can. On those rare occasions converting the item to DNG wouldn't be a problem.

Some don't care as it saves money, others are more cautious re potential warranty issues.
This page does specifically say 'UK sourced stock' so on face of it should not be 'grey' unless they are using some 'weasel wording'. But if this would be an issue for you suggest you investigate.
